Danielle Watson Speech Therapy

Supporting our youngest learners to be joyful, successful communicators!

About Danielle Watson Speech Therapy

Hi! I’m Danielle Watson, speech language pathologist, former preschool and special education teacher, and mom of four. After years of working in early intervention, schools and clinical settings, I decided to start a speech therapy private practice in order to treat children in a more personalized way.

My philosophy centers on treating the whole child in a way that prioritizes their strengths and individual differences while developing functional communication using play-based techniques. A young child's family is integral to this process and collaboration with families and teachers creates the design for positive outcomes.

I have treated children from early intervention through middle school, but my focus has been with children up to age 5. I have been fortunate to provide services to so many wonderful children and families! Working with children who have had a variety of diagnoses has helped me become flexible and understanding of the challenges children face as they learn to communicate. Some of these diagnoses include autism, language delays, processing disorders, phonological/articulation delays and Down syndrome.

Originally from the Northeastern US, I moved from Connecticut to Charleston with my family in 2021. We love the warmer weather and laid-back coastal lifestyle! When not working with children, I enjoy reading, running, writing and hanging with my family and dogs at the beach as often as possible.

Please take a look around to see if Danielle Watson Speech Therapy would be a good fit for your child and family!
